On 9th August 2016 a session was
organised on Financial Literacy
for Kishories at Uttan. Mr. Dayanand Patil, Sr. Martha
and Ms. Rasika were the resource persons from CSA (Centre for Social Action). There
were total 33 Kishories present for the session. The session began by sr.
Martha dividing them into 3 groups of 11 in each group. She gave them four
questions to discuss:
1. What is saving?
2. Importance of saving?
3. Uses of saving
4. Means of saving.
Each group presented
according to their understanding and partially they were right.
Then Ms. Rasika spoke
on Nationalised and private banks and the
difference between them. She also spoke
about post office, RD,
FD, saving account and time deposit.
It was informative and
women learnt the basic knowledge of saving and bank systems.
Mr. Dayanand spoke on
different schemes, policies and the inssurance available in the banks.

Many questions relating
to it were raised by them and were
answered.
They realised the importance of
savings, different scheme and insurance.
Some of them there itself decided to
open the account in the bank and to do the saving.
