Diwali Camp at Pali for Bal Sansad Children - 25th Nov, 2015

On the 25^th Nov, 2015, SahaJeevan  Samaj Kendra, Pali CCO organized a fun filled activity for its Bal Sansad Children. A total of 95 children participated in this one day Diwali camp. The organizers Ms. Carol and the Core Committee Members along with some youth organized the event. 

Four Volunteers from St. Andrew's College, Bandra were present and they took a few fun filled games for the children. 

Ms. Sheetal Palande the Program Coordinator too was present and she took a session on "Child Labour". 

The children enjoyed the day and they went home to share with their parents and neighbours their learnings and experience of the day. 

Property Rights Training For Women on 25th November 2015 at Dongri

On 25^th November Prerna Samaj Kendra organised program for women on property rights and family disputes. 

Total 51 were attended the program. Advocate Mr. Sandeep Dhoble was led the program. 

Many questions asked by participants related to property matters and Sandeep addressing to them. 

He also mentioned that making a "living will" is most important because it will useful for distributing of properties after death of parents and also prevents many disputes. It’s a legal handover from parents to their nominees.

Diwali Camp for Bal Sansad Children at Manori - 20th & 21st November, 2015

Savdhaan Samaj Kendra, Manori organised 2 days Diwali camp program for Balsansad children. Total 75 children have actively participated and enjoyed the camp. 

The first day program was led by Ms Sheetal Palande –(CSA program coordinator) on ‘Team Building’. Through the various games children have received the message “unity is great power”. Alone we cannot do everything but as a group we do many things (Strength in Unity). After that children performed two traditional dances.

Second’s day program was led by CCO staff Ms Suvarna Bandya and Ms Snehal Patil on Responsibilities towards family health. Children have performed the role play on ‘hale dule dr’ means (To be aware From Bogus Dr Practitioner). They gave very beautiful message that every patient has right of access medicine facilities. Every citizen has fundamental responsibilities to ensuring doctors must have qualification to his field, before purchasing medicines make ensure that they should not be outdated. 

On first and second day there were different games like musical chairs, walking on papers, crossing the rivers etc played by children’s.

The camp ended with massage by Fr. Michael D’souza- parish priest of Manori church. He requested children to attend Balsansad meetings regularly which will give them the opportunity to come forward and build their personality. He expressed his gratitude towards the CCO staff and children for organizing the program.

Advanced Training for Women Leaders on Property Rights - Manori - 19th Nov, 2015

All queries and disputes arise due to family property. Understanding this reality, the Manori CCO - Savdhaan Social Centre, Manori organized an Advanced Training Program for Women Leaders on the topic of Property Rights and Family Disputes on the 19th November at the Parish Training Hall, Manori. Twenty one (21) women actively participated and posed their difficulties and queries to Mr. Sandeep Dhoble, the Resource Person.

Financial Literacy Trainings for SHGs at Chowk CCO in November, 2015

Women assert their Rights at Pali after Training on Food Security - 17th Nov, 2015

On 17th November 2015 Sahjeevan Social Centre, Pali organized an Advance Training Program for Women on Food security and Rationing issues, 61 women were present. 

Mrs. Taruna Kumbhar from Rationing Kruti Samiti was the Resource Person. Women raised many querries related to rationing issues from their area for which the Resource Person gave legal, right practices and practical answers for each of their queries. 

After the training program the 22 Women along with CCO and CSA staff and resource person visited the Ration shop in Pali for an exposure and practical knowledge on the issues raised during the training program.

Young Kishoris from Manori get insights into married life& family - 17th Nov, 2015

‘’Marriage is a partnership, it is not an ownership and its a union of two hearts who love with each other forever.”  -unknown

Savdhan Social Centre, Manori CCO’S identified needs among Kishoris to enjoy relationships after their marriage and choose better their half in their life . Therefore they decided to have an input session for Kishoris on Married Life & Family. 

This topics a linked with Kishoris because young girls faced the problems on how to deal with relationships between husband and wife, in- laws. 

Twenty Five (25) Kishoris attended the program, which was led by Ms Trupti Jadhav.  She works with J.J Dharmshala foundation and conducts awareness sessions on various topics. 

The session was very interactive and she started by asking questions on whom they intend to marry in the future? And what do you mean by married life? The responses were unity of two hearts, responsibilities, caring loving of each other etc.

She covered important aspects of a good marriage life, like how to choose a life partner, how to deal with each other, family members, life adjustment in future. There was an open sharing and discussion about good knowledge in sexual education.

She also gave tips on how to trust each other, enjoying sexual relationships, spending good time with each other, mutual understanding with each other needs, and clear communication between each other which will help them to build good relationships in life.
