Collaboration with Government - ICAR

Five Research Scholars from ICAR, Government of India and Fishermen - Mr. Neville from Gorai Machimar (Fisherfolk) Society along with CCO Staff - Sr. Christle, Ms. Nasim and Ms. Natal met together for a meeting on the 30th October, 2015 from 12 noon to 1.00pm at Suroyoday Samaj Kendra, Gorai. 


Dr. Ram Kumar, Dr. Narkhwa and Dr. Ajay and Team discussed on the Research Survey on Fisheries and they expressed their desire to conduct various training programs based on the Fish Products that could be undertaken by the women SHGs. The fish products could become a good way to start livelihoods and could become a good source of income for the women. 

Sr. Christle and the CCO staff shared about their activities and and they together explored possible areas of collaboration with ICAR in the future.
