Second session for Domestic Worker  At Manori on Communication Skills

Day: - Thursday
Date: - 9th Feb 2017
Time: - 1.45- 3.15

Theme: - Communication Skills.
Target Group: - Domestic Worker.
No of Participants: - 15 Women.
Resource Persons: - Mr. Manik
Assistant                : - Miss. Manali

Mr. Manik began the session on “Communication Skills” with “Women Empowerment” song called “Salga Veera, Salga Meera Salga Baija bai”. He raised the question, so many hours of the day like from rising until we go to bed; we keep speaking to ourselves and others, why it is? Then he spoke on importance of what to communicate? How to communicate?  That is through types of communication like “Verbal” (words) we try to communicate with words. There is reason behind every message that we want to give to others. And if the communication is not understood by the other person then the barrier appears and when the barrier takes place the we feel irritated, angry then that same anger we put on ourselves, family members, at our work place and so on because of which relationship, trust breaks and gap takes place. So it is very important to learn how to talk to others, if we learn to communicate our relationship with our family, neighbors and at work place becomes strong, joyful and lovely. While we communicate we not only communicate with words but we make use of the actions and body language which are very strong sources of communication.
In communicating there are three things involved and we have to be aware of that is
1.     Listening with open ears.
2.     Listening with open eyes.

3.     Listening with open heart.
