Learning to Act on Domestic Violence in the Community, Chowk CCO 29-3-16

On the 29th of March 2016  Sahayog Samaj Kendra, Chowk organised a Session on Domestic Violence  for the Women Leaders from the Community. 


The Resource Person was Ms. Chitra Joshi. All together 18 women were present actively participated in the discussion as she share on the Domestic Act 2005 dealing with issues on Divorce, Dowry and rape.

Women's Day Celebration - Manori - 29-3-16

On 29th march 2016, Manori  CCO organised Women's Day Programme . 





Ms. Nanda Kamble was the chief guest and speaker for the evening. Around 100 women were present along with other people from the parish.

Growing Awareness on Ill Effects of Alcohol Consumption - Uttan - March 2016

As a follow up on the Action Plan of the Core Committee Meeting at Uttan, the Uttan CCO planned and organized Awareness Programmes in 5 villages of Uttan   i e Devtalav, Navikhadi, Bhotodi, Motagoan and Patan on the Ill Effects of Alcohol Consumption from the 1st to the 22nd March, 2016.
 








There was an overwhelming response from the people. Fr. Leslie from Mukti Sagar played a great role in organizing and planning for the programme. 

The Uttan CCO mobilized three persons from the community, Mr. Anil, Mr. Paul and Mr. Edward who were earlier addicted to alcohol to come and share about their experiences and their journey towards kicking the habit. Their sharing was very touching and inspiring. They shared on how they got in to alcohol consumption and how this habit completely ruined their life as well as destroyed their family happiness too.

Pali Kishoris learn about Savings on 21-3-16

Sahajeevan Samaj Kendra, Pali CCO got the Kishoris (adolescent girls) together on the 21 March, 2016 for a Financial Literacy Training. 

Around 25 Kishori adolescent girls actively participated in the training. Mr. Dayanand Patil, the Joint Program Coordinator of the DI Project from CSA led the girls to understand the importance of Savings. 

He quizzed them on the various types of saving that they could engage in and how they could enhance their current levels of saving. 

The outcome of this interaction and information sharing through group discussion and activity games was that 12 Kishoris from those who attended were ready to form an SHG Group and take the process ahead.
